As part of ConServ’s efforts to support youth and our industry, ConServ recently worked with the Independent Oil & Gas Association (IOGA) of West Virginia to create a scholarship to support outstanding students who plan to attend a vocational or trade school and seek a career in the oil and gas industry.
Commenting on its latest scholarship, ConServ’s Scott Freshwater stated: “Over the years, we have established a number of scholarships at various West Virginia colleges and universities where we have operations, relationships, or history. However, we recognized some time ago that we were missing a critical group in the strongest demand at ConServ – students (like our Founder) opting not go to college but wanting to enter a trade in the industry we serve. As a result, we created the “Blue Collar” Scholarship to recognize and support these high school graduates.” Best of luck to this year’s 2020 recipients.
