ConServ Completes “100% Turn-Key” Urban Plugging Project

ConServ completed a well P&A project this day in an urban/residential setting.  The well was drilled in 1937 to ~ 4,200 feet (i.e., brown shale), shot with nitroglycerin and full of crude oil.  Over the decades the property surrounding the well was slowly developed into a residential neighborhood with the well situated directly beside the city street and within the front yard of a home.   The customer awarded ConServ this project on a “100% turn-key” basis  which included everything from surface owner(s)/city/regulator communication to utility re-locates to title research to full permitting to complete P&A services (rig, wireline, cementing, etc.).   Plugging wells in these locales requires experience and risk management.
